Q&A with Aria Roberts

Get ready to meet Aria Roberts! Also known as Ari, a gymnastics sensation hailing from the vibrant city of Charlotte, North Carolina. Ari is not only a talented athlete but also a proud ambassador for Bell Leotards.

Born on October 14, 2005, Ari has always loved her hometown for its friendly people and convenient location that's near both mountains and beach. Currently, Ari is showcasing her skills as a collegiate gymnast at Centenary College of Louisiana.

Join us as she shares her inspiring journey, revealing the challenges of being a student-athlete, her passion for the sport, and how she has reached this point in her career!

As a gymnast, what’s more valuable? Skills or experience?

"I believe experience is more valuable. You're more likely to be successful with experience. Time builds confidence and consistency than with more skills. Skills are important, but having many skills that aren't clean or consistent [does] nothing for you."

What’s your favorite season?

"Summer."

What’s on your bucket list for 2025?

"I want to go to Nationals for floor, and I want to go on the new Tiana ride at Disney World!"

Favorite color when picking a new leotard?

"Blue or Black."

What's your go-to nail polish color or style?

"Various-colored French nails."

What is something you wish more people knew about you?

"I wish more people knew my journey and the hard work it took to get to where I am today."

How long have you been doing gymnastics?

"16 years."

What made you want to participate in college gymnastics?

"It's always been a dream for me. I just used to watch college gymnasts and look at them with so much awe, and there was nothing that I wanted to do more than be a college gymnast. Maybe, I could even inspire a little girl the way I was inspired."

What is your happiest gymnastics memory? What makes it so special?

"My happiest gymnastics memory was my senior night, and getting to celebrate all of our seniors and compete one last time in JO."

What is the hardest aspect of being a collegiate gymnast?

"Balancing your sport, social life, and school is a challenge, especially since you're on your own for the first time. It's a whole new game. You have to find your groove."
