Love Your Leo: A Bell Leotard Care Guide

So, we heard you finally purchased that leo you’ve been eyeing for the longest time. Congratulations! If you want to ensure it lasts as long as possible and always looks its best, we're here to guide you on a few simple care tips!

1. Turn your garment inside out.

Turning your garment inside out is like giving it a protective shield! It helps minimize friction, prevent pilling, fading, wear, and tear. Embellishments, sequins, and other delicate details our leos have can also be damaged by washing agitation.

2. Hand wash or Machine Wash all garments with Optimal Care

Give your clothes the TLC, bestie! Hand washing is always the safest option, but a gentle machine wash can do the trick too.

3. Do not use bleach, excessive detergent, or fabric softener.

Your leos deserve better than a chemical bath! These harsh chemicals are their worst enemies. Bleach strips the fabric of color, detergents weaken fibers, and fabric softener reduces breathability, leading to discomfort and shorter lifespan. Use small amounts of mild detergent or mild soap instead.

4. Instead of wringing, roll it

Wringing or twisting your leos can also be rough on the fabric. Instead, gently squeeze out excess water. Another option is carefully rolling your leos in a towel to remove excess water. It's like giving them a little spa treatment!

5. Do not use high temperature in dryer or tumble dry

Ironing, dry cleaning, and hanging can be too harsh for your leos. Do not allow it to drip dry as bleeding of color can also happen at this point. Instead, lay your leos flat to dry naturally.

6. Store Properly

Try to store your leotards in a way that minimizes folding and avoids direct sunlight. Consider using garment bags to protects them from dust and moisture.

We know it might seem like a lot, but these care tips can help your leos stay looking fabulous for years to come. Don't worry, you don't have to do everything on this list, but always remember, even a little extra love can make a big difference.
